• Imported chat histories from supported AI platforms
• Your personal organization and tagging of conversations
• Search indices for faster conversation retrieval
• Application preferences and settings

Technical Information

We may collect minimal technical information necessary for app functionality, such as:

• Device type and operating system version (for compatibility)
• App version and performance metrics (for improvements)
• Crash reports (anonymized, to fix bugs)

Offline AI Integration

When you use Chat Vault's offline AI continuation feature with local servers like Ollama or LM Studio, all processing happens locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers, ensuring complete privacy for your AI interactions.

Third-Party Services

Chat Vault imports conversations by reading export files from AI platforms - we do not use any third-party AI services during the import process. All conversation data is processed locally on your device.

However, if you choose to configure Chat Vault to connect with third-party AI servers (such as OpenAI for offline continuation), these connections are entirely optional and controlled by you. When configured, requests are made directly from your device to these services according to your preferences.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
